I.e., all humans are descended from primates, and our evolutionary heritage didn't put that much survival pressure on being able to recognize that a slightly convex mirror a small distance away from us on the passenger side of our cars shows an image that appears to be farther away. So, like, if your own monkey brain weren't so wrapped up in anti-American tribalism, you'd have understood what I was saying.
That being said, nearly half of our voting population tried to elect Donald Trump twice and something like 30% of our population believes that covid vaccines are a plot by the One World Government to sterilize anyone who loves modern commercial country music, so I'm certainly not going to waste time trying to argue that my fellow Americans are, on average, smart people.
