Usually people recommend getting the 50mm 1.8 of whatever 35mm camera system you have.

But I find the 50mm 1.8 produces results similar to what newer Iphones can do with their cameras array.

There is really no reason to buy a heavy camera just to take photos that an iphone can almost also do.

But teles on the other hand, no smartphone will ever be able to do it.
