>>3953442I mean I expected fuji out of all people, and especially in their XF series of lenses to have something a little "closer to the photograph" than fucking electronic focusing.
I will say, I only have the shit XC 15-45, so maybe the XF35F2 would feel much better even with similar technology, which is why I want to try it hands-on ... but I'm a little disappointed still.
>>3953446idk, I'm a film fag that has only ever used that sort of lens, and I don't necessarily think it slows down the process at all. If you stop down your lens to F16-22 (as you should during daylight), you will almost never need to focus since the DOP is going to be huge. The only way I could see it slow me down is SPECIFICALLY because it's so shit. old lenses are a breeze to use, in my experience. and yeah, I could still do that, but I wanted to know what all the fuss was about with Fuji being the spiritual successor to film photography, and the oh-so amazing glass I've read about on here. Yeah, I ... I'm actually wondering if it's any interesting to get into digital or if I should rather spend money on film shit. or maybe I should get an a7i and make use of the old glass I have, I don't fucking know. I'm lost now :/
