>>3953638What's your definition of affordable, my nex 3 was £20, I'd say that's the best bang for buck camera possible, but an a7ii is a much better camera and can be had for ~£600, which I'd also say is very much affordable.
For a beginner Sony is the best platform, they have the widest range of lenses, and the most affordable 3rd party options, it's also a system that covers the most basic entry level to the most niche high end; so you can have a system that grows with you. And mirrorless is much easier to learn with than a traditional DSLR, as you get a WYSIWYG viewfinder.
