I wonder if Ansel would've been more into color if he were alive now. Reading his complaints about it, it seems like the real root of them was how much less creative control he had over the final image compared to B&W, and it's interesting to think about how his opinion might have changed if he'd had access to digital RAWs and Photoshop instead of being stuck with Kodachrome.

I never knew Ansel pushed for a trade embargo on non-Kodak films to prevent the import of brands like Fuji, Foma, and Agfa
