Hey guys let’s talk about fixing equipment or modifying it. I got a lens with some fungus on it, it’s on a Canon FD lens, I heard you can leave it in the sun but anyone try UV at 365nm to kill it? I’ve opened up lens before so I’m not scared to, I’m just lazy, I took apart another one since it was frozen, then the blades worked again. I’ve also removed alkaline damage from leaky batteries. What kind of tools do you use for lens? I used screwdrivers for phone repair and I just started stripping these, anyone got a good kit or size? Was thinking of using glasses or watch toolkits, I also never used a spanned just used a pointy metal stick for popping pimples, I’m gonna try with multimeter probes next time the spanners don’t seem worth it, are they? Anyone ever repair a digital?
