Looking to upgrade my computer setup a bit to better fit my photo editing/archiving process, as my current one has really been on its last legs the past year or so.

Thought I'd try to gauge what other anons here have and enjoy to use so I'm not looking at youtubers telling me to get the highest end equipment since they also deal with video software and files for their channels. Something like this maybe:

>Photography experience level (amateur, professional, etc)
>Computer type (Laptop, Desktop, Ipad?, etc)
>technical details like cpu, ram, whatever you'd like to mention
>any other information you'd want to recommend

In my case it's

>Amateur, make personal work and publications/books
>Asus gaming laptop from 2016 that hasn't been able to hold a charge for years, the screen wigs out from time to time, and starts up very difficultly now
>i7, GTX 950M, 8gb ram, 190gb SSD
>WD 1tb drive for monthly archive storage
>help

Personally still very much on the edge of laptop/desktop since I really don't see myself editing when I'm out and about or travelling, but still unsure if there's any anons out there with thoughts
