I started photographing nature. Street photographers can take photos of people without making a connection. You don't need to be social to be a street photographer. You can use photography as an excuse to connect to people too. Some strangers are actually really excited to have somebody take their picture. You can shoot architecture in the city. Take macro photographs of bugs. Go out at night and take long exposure star trails. Basically, photography is a hobby that is perfect for shy people and extroverts. Just keep a camera on you and take photos!

I just don't take photos of people, there's a lot of things you could find to shoot that don't directly involve others. As to what those things are, it's whatever you want to shoot. If you wanna shoot people, you're gonna need the courage to ask and start making connections.

I like cinematography and own a couple cameras so I know the basics in photography and would even say I'm a decent photographer, but those situations are so rare. the situations where I have the chance to take pictures of interesting things. For the most part I'm in my room doing nothing, and just watching movies, and studying other photographers, I will never improve if I never go out to photograph things, you can only photograph so many things in your room.

I don't see how not having a social life stops you from taking picture. Unless you specifically want to take pictures of people and that only, in that case go make some friends.

Here's advice. Go outside but instead of walking around like most photographers try to find one spot and stay there for couple hours. I did it once and actually managed to meet some people, made some portraits and street photography. You just become the part of environment and people don't notice you and your camera anymore. To this day it's best series of photos I ever made.

I have no social life at all. I don't like taking pictures of people. I go and walk in the woods and take pictures of any animals, flowers, plants, trees, anything that perks my curiosity. I haven't gone in a while though since I have a hard enough time motivating myself to leave the house.

you just take pictures of what you find interesting or notice. I'm a 15+ year recluse who could count the amount of times I went outside on one hand some years. I bought a film camera and you just take it outside with you, no matter if you take a picture or not. Find excuses to go outside. Feel uncomfortable being seen? go to a quiet park and just walk around and observe stuff. repeated exposure will make it better.

I’m a total loner that used to be a somebody, and was into photography as a somebody, then when I became a nobody, I just went and started to take pictures at events, stuff like concerts and skateboarding events, and now I’m slowly becoming a somebody again, people reach out to me, rather than me reaching out to them, and I get praised without asking for it or even expecting it. Just go and shoot, whatever it is, take pictures of it, go out and take pictures of stray cats in your neighborhood, or pictures of pigeons resting on cables, or on top of lamp posts, take pictures of people in the city living their lives whether they be walking, running, sulking or cheering, but most importantly take pictures of the things that inspire you to keep taking pictures.

i just recently got a camera and the biggest thing i've had to get over is feeling self conscious about pulling it out. no one is really paying attention to other people in public unless you're harassing someone or taking up space in a way that impedes someone. if you have a job, take it to and from work and give yourself some time to stop and take a few photos. if you don't have a job, go to a park or walk around your town and take a few photos.
