For me I've never tried to accomplish anything like spearfishing, taking pictures or setting records, it's always been about floating around and relaxing. Only diving to get a look at something particularly interesting, and surfacing at the first sign of discomfort.
>>3963694That's what I learned too, and it makes perfect sense to me. Also what they've said when I've been on beaches to see seals and penguins. Not a fan of touristy dolphin swimming things either, they, like seals, are essentially tiger strength, they're in their own element and you're not, and you don't really know their body language. I don't know if it's true, but they say even penguins can deliver quite a savage paddling.
And the other side of the coin is that you may well end up injuring the wildlife, infecting them with something or changing their behavior.
