Used my iPhone HDR function to enhance the details of the sea, while also taking care of the shadows under the bridge.

It’s okay to have a few completely white and black areas, but this is excessive. It pulls the eyes to the side. I suggest editing them again.

Lens sharpness is a meme. Nothing wrong with these photos was caused by using an older vintage lens. These could have been perfectly good photos if you hadn't blown the highlights. I also don't think they need to be HDR. You could have easily exposed the whole scene in a single exposure and then you probably wouldn't even have needed to lift the shadows 1 stop, probably only 2/3 stop or so.
