A good camera is one that doesn't get in the way of taking good pictures. A cheap camera that only takes noisy images is a bad camera because it gets in your way. That's not to say a Phase One will necessarily take nice pictures. In fact that too will get in your way of taking nice pictures if you need to carry it around. The exact same thing is true of tripods. Over- and underbuilt tripods both get in your way of taking nice pictures, even when they don't outright drop the camera.
And gearfaggotry is not just using overbuilt equipment, it's just as bad to insist on using underbuilt equipment. In fact it's a far more insidious form of gearfaggotry. Overbuiltfags only hurt their own wallets. Underbuiltfags hurt the entire photography experience of beginners with their awful advice.
