I kept a lot of sheet film in fridge and then in freezer without wrapping them in sealed plastic bags.
When I took it out I just wrapped it in a cloth and let it rest for 24 hours to reach ambient temperature.
I just developed like 50 color 4x5s and no issues at all.
If nothing happens to sheet film, most likely roll film is safe.
