I don't expect to be using the viewfinder 100% of the time, when composition's precise, or when I'm close to my subjects, or when the light's in my eyes, I'm definitely going for it. But the OVF on top is comfortable to me, and saves battery life for the camera
Also lets me compose with the camera turned off, which I just did all the fucking time with film cameras
I believe that for 28mm equivalent lenses you don't really need a viewfinder on top or to use the EVF exclusively though, you get put right on the edge of the finder but it works well enough (I've heard, through researching before I put a finder on top of mine)
