probably a long exposure time and deliberately moving the camera
what ever HZ the light source is operating at interacts with how fast the camera is taking pictures and how fast the camera is moving

This seems to be the most relevant thread to post this question - what should i use (not photoshop/adobe) to stitch two photos together so that I can have a wide angle view of a room?

I can't afford a wide angle lens at the moment. I tried to rent one today and they told me it was $25.00 for the day plus 50% security deposit for what the lens cost. Total it was $625. Might as well have just bought the lens at that point.

Anyway, yeah, some advice would be very helpful.

Ouch. Presumably you'd get that back at the end, though. This is where a credit card/personal overdraft is handy.
