On a serious reply, the chance of a camera lockup with third-party periphery is way higher than file system soft failures, which are way more likely than physical card failures. And to add to that, if you experience soft or hard failures on the flash cards, it's likely due to your incorrect handling. If not used for convenience, dual card-slots are a tax for the ignorant.
