Do you have a process, be it creative or analytical, that you go through before you take a photo? Or before you go somewhere to take photos? To what degree do you think through the composition, the colors or even your plans for postprocessing?
When you select a composition, are you already formulating a plan for how you will process the photo, like "this one would look good with lots of sharpening and microcontrast in post," or "this one would look good with a semi-transparent gray mask and over-saturating the reds"?
And if you want to just reply, "no, I always just wing it," or "I just photograph what catches my eye," that's fine, but if you think about it a little bit more, you might realize that you have been using a process without even thinking about it.
