a digital back to fit on 35mm film cameras… what are your thoughts? the sensor seems so cheap and bad quality they now decided to upscale and correct with AI on their instagram page.

Yeah, they even seem proud… these guys raised 700k for this shit. I’m mostly mad about the indiegogo backers that don’t know any better.

At that point just shoot film, their instagram page looks like what was posted 10 years ago on instagram

Just went to their ig page and holy fuck.. are they using some CCTV camera sensor from 1998 or why are the 'results' looking that bad to me? Even my 2003 Nokia was able to take better pictures.

I think what they are doing is having a frosted glass pane where the film usually is, then having a small sensor with lens (like a phone) that takes a picture of the pane.

I just want to be 20 years in the future when there will maybe be a sensor small enough to be the thickness of actual film, with the computer parts stored in a film cannister

I think this guy was genuinely ignorant of the advancements in digital cameras and scanning technology, even gigantic clunky scanning backs produce better results than this, literally everything does
