No not-American photos. Only American photos. They must not be photos simply that happened to have been taken in America. They must be American Photos.

Why do Fuji cameras produce this nice glow on bright surfaces? I can always seem to pick them out reliably without looking at the exif.

can't really tell without looking at how it's been processed, but in my experience i've found they just handle highlights pretty smoothly

Literally, yes. This is exactly the look Fuji owners are after. I know because I was one.

It helps that it has built-in film sims that get it close to looking like that already.

The exif for that first shot is wrong because I was lazy when I set up that diptych in photoshop it copied the exif over from my previously set up diptych

I took those shots with a 25mm f4 voightlander on an xpro1 which is probably what gives that specific effect. You could probably use this lens with any mirrorless cam and get the same exact deal
