I like your flying couple too, so sharp and good colors.
I was just out watching how mallards make couples. There was 13 males around one female and after some time female started to push her head against one males head and that was her selection. Others were then chased away by the lucky guy. Luckily there are more single females left, they were walking nearby just waiting males to pay attention.
