So is my first time shooting black and white film, Its Kentmere Pan 400 on my Pentax ME super. This is also the first time I used the manual setting.

Please offer any advice or criticism you may have

I know this is poorly exposed but I find it funny when people go to art galleries and take pictures of the paintings without looking at them

Good shots for the most part, anon. I admire your willingness to get close to people. However, you have a tendency to over-expose. Try metering half-a-stop (or even one stop) under for the dark parts of your frame, then re-compose for the shot itself.

great shots anon, I love these most.
I'm not sure if I agree the over-expose feedback, I think it adds a feel but I'm a super amateur anyway

Yes I think so too but I'm also an amateur and have a feeling that while I really like how it looks now I may look back at it in a couple years and cringe

i like some of these, you should keep shooting. there are some blow outs in the back, but irl you'd be adjusting it in the darkroom and it wouldn't be an issue in the final prints

I think these scans aren't great and exposure and quality will be improved by rescanning the negs and touching them up in lightroom

So you do you think maybe the development isnt very good then?

I intend to start developing myself when I can afford the kit but for now this place is the cheapest

This is slightly short of a masterpiece in terms of getting the lucky shot. Her face adds so much depth to this and harmonizes with the icon banner
