>>4016452>50-200Too slow and too short. 400mm f/8 equiv? Get out of here.
There is literally only 1 lens worth a damn and it’s the 150-400 f/4.5
800mm f/9 equivalent. Not too bad.
>2kg>$12,000Ouch. Literally 2x as much as an A7rIV and a 200-600. Same think with a Nikon Z and 800 6.3.
It’s priced out of reach for most, and it’s 2/3rds of a stop faster than the Canon 800mm f/11.
Literally every other lens is cucked in MFT. They are f/11 or f/12.6 equivalents. Even the 300 is a 600 f/8 equivalent and more expensive than the 200-600 which is nearly a whole stop faster, and and nearly 2 stops faster than the 100-300.
You literally cannot get away from the weight in a super tele (outside of bring diffractive optics back) it’s physics, the only thing you can do is make compromises and make significantly reduces ifs light gathering power.
You could make a 100-300 3.2 lens in MFT which would be the same weight as the 200-600 as it’d basically be the same lens just with some tweaks to produce a smaller image circle instead of a larger one. You could literally have the same super teles that FF has in equivalents on MFT, and for the same price since that has manufacturer cost built, but no one makes them, they make compromised lenses for more profit, and some for stupid prices.
