My wife is bad with money, she'll get into a new hobby, sometimes spending $6000 to get started, then do nothing with it. She started playing guitar with a $3000 guitar and $1000 in pedals; she started photography buying like $8000 of gear; she got into collecting computer keyboards and has spend close to $2000 already.

We're not hurting for money but I feel bad all this shit is going to waste. I know nothing about photography, where should I look for to learn about photography? My money paid for this shit, I might as well try to get some utility out of it.

Is there something maybe superfluous here I can ditch to buy books about photography? Is this setup even good? She bought all this stuff within the last year, it's not outdated is it? She never uses any of it.
