35 is not wide enough for me. I like around 20mm or as low as you can go before you get into fisheye. Usually thats around 18mm on full frame I think, but, I am more of a landscape shooter. I like the rest of your selection though. 50mm has to be the most popular focal length prime in the world across all brands. Its such a cliche trope, its always better to go for something longer to be different.

An A7sIII and the 20mm f1.8 is my ultimate night shooter dream but it's the price of a good used car.

used to shoot more 24 / 35 / 85
28 just feels like best of both worlds of 24/35 now
75/85 are interchangeable for me, i just use different lenses now
have 70-200 of course, but only use it when i have to

There's fullframe glass wider than 10mm which aren't fisheyes. Look up rectilinear wide lenses by Laowa. Shit's expensive, though.

Mostly use a 52mm 55-200 for most things. A 49mm 15-45 occasionally when 55 is too much. Lastly a 28mm super macro to find my dick.

You mean the "defocus control" -lens or whatever it's called. 70-200mm can do that focal lenght and be just a stop slower. Cant really see me carrying 135DC anywhere with me, even my 105mm 1.4 stays home most of the time. While 70-200 lives on my other camera body.

my best is 14mm but I love it. my 10mm is a fisheye and although I've used it more it's just not as special a nice wide rectilinear lens. shit is legit cinematic

It is a really cool lens, weight is next to nothing but MF onlya and as with all ultrawides, a bitch to use. I got it instead of the fuji 10-24, which is too big, and although I was a bit worried about sharpness I have pic related hanging from my bedroom wall at 120cm wide and it looks fucking incredible. Very recommended lens.

I don't have much to show for my 14mm yet but I bought it specifically for video for when I go camping (nature walkthroughs, etc), but of course I'll probably use it a lot more for photos. Pic related was a test shot shortly after I bought it

Which 14mm is that? Looks like you live in an area with not a lot of light pollution. Try to catch a photo of the milky way one night if you haven't already, they're super fun to do and the wider the lens the easier it gets

it's the coveted (and discontinued) Pentax 14mm.

when I took that pic a few months ago I was in an area with mild light pollution but have since moved back to the city. sadly the milky way pics will have to wait until the next camping trip.

last camping trip way out in nowhere I only had the fisheye but it served the situation well
