>>4030944>So how long have you been into this hobby?15 years.
>What inspired you to take up photography?Honestly, I saw my aunt with a film SLR when I was younger and just thought it looked cool. I needed an artistic outlet, and didn't have the patience to get better at drawing, painting, or music. It was really easy to get "neat" photos, buy still a challenge to get "great" ones. It's a good combination of creativity and technical proficiency.
>Where do you want to go with it — if career wise, what sort of job would you like to do?Worked in camera shops / labs for about 7 years, spent a few years teaching classes, and then spent the last 5 doing mostly weddings and engagements. Took this year off of all weddings, and trying to scale back down to smaller sessions (engagements, elopements, family, boudoir). Have some good connections for real estate now, so may be trying that out later in the year, but it would be more like "easy" work from friends than anything I actually want to pursue.
I'd be 100% fine if I never did "pro" work again. Since I've taken the year off weddings, I've been shooting in my personal life significantly more, and it's been reinvigorating.
