I just bought a Lumix G9 and I am upgrading from a hacked GH2. I work doing concert/EDM type shooting and was curios how much of an upgrade can I expect with this camera. What do you suggest for me to get for doing hybrid shooting. I got the camera because my next event is a big music festival. Any help would be appreciated.

only reason I got the G9 was because I have the lenses for it and the price. I would really want to get into sony but the funds just wouldn't let me do it.

Mostly the low light. Sony just seems to blow everything out but I got away with my GH2 so I imagine the G9 should do just fine.

I'm awaiting the barrage of high-ISO noise comparisons and slanders by our resident assblasted sonycuck.

I'd say put a fast normal prime on your old body and an f2.8 telephoto on the G9. You'll get stab to tame the tele and have a quick prime for wider shots and candid photos of the crowd.

Sony is great, but as you said you can’t afford to switch to anything else at this point so there is nothing to suggest. You’ll have to make do with what you got. I had a GH2 a long time ago, I didn’t like it that much. Considering it does 4K you’ll end up with better results at the very least. What iso and lens were you typically using on the GH2?

I dont remember the iso that I was using. This is the first time going out since covid. I was using a 20mm 1.7 and a 25mm 1.7. The 25mm basically did everything I needed it to.

I dont really get what you're asking for OP. You already bought the camera, you're meant to ask for help before you do that, but regardless, you made a good choice. You know what you need more than we do. I really like sony OP and I think you made the best decision based on what you want to do. Not all us sonyfags are the same. The other guys in this thread are like reverse butthurt or something.
