>>4034537The GFX's are great, but much slower in use, and while the bodies aren't honestly that big (GFX100s smaller than D850), the lenses certainly are. It definitely makes it feel like shooting a MF camera over a 35mm SLR. For the 50s/sII/r models, I think you get better value out of a modern FF mirrorless. The 50mp sensor is like 8 years old at this point and I don't think it's really worth it over say a Z7II when you consider size & speed. If you can afford the 100/s though, they are definitely in another league.
There's more detail, but I'd be curious how much of that comes simply from the increase in resolution, and I'd wait until we have more info on the X-H2 (40mp version). I have a dozen or so of the Fuji lenses, and some are on par in terms of resolving fine details, but all are much cheaper than a comparable GF lens too. In either case, I really only notice a difference when pixel peeping. DR certainly is better, but in most situations I probably wouldn't notice. Higher ISO is also better, but again, for the 50s/sII/r, only on par with other high res mirrorless models.
Unrelated old pic crops (not an "equal" comparison at all) to show practical difference in detail, but can do a more proper comparison later if it would help.
