The internet is awash with places that talk about gear, sites that talk about photography, issues surrounding and other things that are pertinent to photographers are few and far between.
/p/ could be really good but anything of value gets buried in a quagmire of shitposts, most of which are started by the same person, and an endless stream of "what shall I buy/look at what I just bought" type threads.
Why would any newbie stick around when all the board has to offer is a poor quality version of what they can find everywhere else.
