Let's be honest: We must admit that Sony has the best autofocus in the market, but their color science is downright dogshit.

What people don't realize is that most camera companies were, before digital, just that: camera companies. They had nothing to do with the 'look' of images, they just made the optics + camera.

That's why Fuji are the only ones caring about jpeg colors and why they have so many options, and also why they kinda look good. They're the only ones that had the background in developing (heh) film as well.

How pants on head retarded do you have to be to get an out of focus photo on a modern camera?

And these companies really need to fix their colours, my biggest waste of time in photography is getting the colours right as it never is out of camera. I don’t want more megapixels or sharper images as they are already enough, I want accurate colours.

I would literally instant buy a new full frame camera if it produced nice colours every shot that were actually correct and don’t need 5 mins of tweaking every time

I think Olympus had the best color for a time. A little garish but natural and easy to correct. It's also hard to talk color because I've seen 3 monitors outside of my own that were properly calibrated and amateur photographers aren't doing that.

no you don't. sony already has the most accurate colours, and we dont like them in photos.
the science in brains and remembering/perceiving colour is well established and leveraged by for example fuji, who arguably have the least accurate colours (but some of the most pleasing colours)

I knew it, the colours just are never exactly what my eyes see and no amount of tweaking gets it exactly right. Sometimes for reasons hard to understand film gets closer and it’s just chemicals not even technology

Film handles highlights much more gracefully, akin to your eyes. Digital will just clip highlights if they're too bright, even the latest Snoy specsheet monster.

For digital, you could try CCD or very early CMOS cameras from the 2000s. They had stronger CFAs still. Or Sigma Foveon if you want to be a digital hipster even more hipster than Fuji shooters.

Fuji and Sony are tied up for most accurate ilc colors.

Fuji users just cant post a photo without running it through an insta filter first.

Oh and subjectively, Sony have proven

themselves to have the most liked colour on its jpeg output, Fuji came last.

arguing about color science is retarded, since any decent, half intelligent, minimally engaged photographer changes any colors to their liking in post anyway.
the worst color science in the entire industry will forever be Nikon, since they always have this yellow tint that is close to impossible to remove entirely.

It's nothing to do with the Sony camera sensors themselves, it's just how the RAW processor displays the raw data. Capture One is miles better in processing Sony RAW colors than any other software I know of. In terms of video, I always shoot S-Log and grade in Resolve. If you don't know how to do basic color grading, than I don't know why you should complain about color science. Just throw some $39 YouTuber LUT on your footage.
