Yes, I decide the precise amount of noise reduction or sharpening. Split toning works better. I can reduce more highlights and lift more shadows. I can also use the brush tool to mask my subject in order to apply a curve.

Unless you have to deliver 100+ photos in the next 3 hours after shooting, RAW is the better choice and will be superior than any in-camera processing in the right hands.

RAW always, sometimes +JPG.
On some older cameras, shooting +JPG would give me a larger / more detailed playback image for checking shots.
Sometimes I direct print from camera, which requires JPG.
All my images will eventually make their way to a PC anyways, and if I don't want to invest a lot of time processing, I can just 1-click and apply a preset and have JPG's good to go.

No, because no matter how long I spend editing photos, they look weird when I compare to them to the original. Editing many photos also isn't enjoyable to me.

I develop about 70 % of my pics from dng raw. The rest I usually develop in-camera into 2MP jpeg that I can easily post to /p/.
