Even the largest medium format (mind, digital medium format is much smaller!) 6"x9" (56 x 84 mm) only has a crop factor of 0,43 compared to 35mm which means an f/4 would only be f/1,72.
With a current digital Hasselblad (53 x 40mm) crop factor would be 0,68, an f/4 only being f/2,72. Which for example is their ultra wide angle lens XCD 4/21MM. FF has faster and even wider wide angles.
Hasselblads fastest lens is the XCD 1,9/80 which is equivalent to f/1,23 54,4mm. Which fullframe has just as well (50mm f/1,2).
Nothing rare, nothing special.
There must be something else going for medium format or I remain unconvinced.
