the focus of the picture seems to be the colored reflections on the water's surface, so I'd expect you to want to highlight that section of the picture, but the sky being so light and interrupted by a darker cloud grab a bit too much attention for "empty space"

I like the superposition of greenery, wood and concrete, the colors are nicely balanced and soothing, though the out-of-focus grass in the foreground at the bottom of the picture seems at odds with everything else, which is in focus and on a flat enough plane
also what's the point of making just some grass blurry when every other portion of grass in in focus?

I'd say it's not necessarily good looking, but it's a fairly good picture, and just about the best you could produce in that situation

the stark difference between the background and the subject is a bit jarring, if you look at most urban/street picture the subject tends to blend in with the background in a sense, which might be the crowd, or a wall or whatever else, there's some sense of continuity, here instead it looks like the man might have been photoshopped in
