>>4065785The K-70 is after the revision of the aperture block. I didn't hear about any problems so it is safe to buy
https://www.reddit.com/r/pentax/comments/h7z57k/aperture_block_failure_pentax_k70/>But the K-200D for 120€ seems steep, you can buy a K-10D for that money. Why not look for a used K-5 or K-3 instead?I think there is a lens included, could probably drop the price by getting only the body. The appeal is that I can see it physically easily
>Also some of these aperture block problems can be fixed DIY if you know how to handle a screwdriver but get a JIST screwdriver set. You can also try service, it is known Pentax serviced these aperture block problems highly discounted way after the recall period ended.yeah I tried the DIY way myself but I fucked up. I did everything right, removing the screws, taking note of the positions etc. I found the solenoid and while trying to remove the bottom part it goes flying inside the camera's body and got stuck on one of the magnetic components. After a lot of trying I gave up on the piece and put everything back together, the bottom part of the solenoid still being stuck somewhere. Somewhat it still works, except for the aperture of course.
The guys from the store told me pentax didn't fix it anymore, guarantee or not. Maybe I should have tried contacting pentax first.
>>4065786No I don't want to risk having an aperture block problem again, especially since I'm so bad at repairing electronics
