Ultimately, I've found the flexibility really refreshing. I felt like I was in a rut, creatively, and getting back to an SLR (I learned to shoot on my mom's Pentax LX more than a decade ago) has been energizing.
Before this my favorite digital cameras were the original Ricoh GR and the Leica Digilux 2, so I'm used to the kind of limitations that older CCD sensors present. Still, the camera is remarkably usable at 1600 ISO, and even without stabilization, if you lock the mirror up you can do fairly stable slow work by hand
