You can buy those plastic holga lenses and use on your dslr.
It doesn’t really translate though as the digital image is just way to clear compared to film and it looks awful.

The digital equivalent would be glitch, I wish somebody made a digital camera that glitched images randomly, I would buy it

If you rip out the "aperture" you basically end up with a disposable camera lens, with the creamy vignetting and very soft image.

I'll take some pics tomorrow.

I was using the plastic holga lens on a d800 and at that resolution and detail it just looked weird and also the vignette was so extreme.

the vignette is due to the multi-perforated aperture disc, there's also a second smaller single perforated disc inside, i've removed both of these on mine. I'm going out in a bit to take photos because I don't have any on hand.

So. these aren't supposed to look like film in any way, the dissected holga lens is just a quick way to make any DSLR/MILC a shit camera in a similar way the holga is.

on these last two, i unscrewed the lens from the mount piece and just freelensed, i noticed that the flange distance is way off, i guess the aperture disc compensated for that

i could probably shim the lens closer to the sensor
