>>4074297>that doesnt mean the sensor is inherently better at gathering lightYes it does, because if you get 2 lenses that are identical, then the one on ff will gather 4 times as much light as on MFT.
You can increase light gathering with either, but going for the smaller system with the faster lens may gather as much light but it will still be far behind on image quality.
>>4074299>compare the noise performance of z6 to z9They are nigh on identical, with the z6 performing half a stop worse below iso 800, and half a stop better above iso 800. There's less than a quarter stop difference at base iso. What did you think you were proving with this open ended question?
And no, large microlenses don't perform better than sampling, fwiw the a7riv actually performs slightly better than the a7siii for SNR, completely disproving your theory,
>>4074307>f stop alone isn't importantIt kinda is, for example diffraction becomes a noticeable problem on mft at just f4, leaving you the choice of shooting wide open (usually worse aberrations and sharpness) or shooting with diffraction, f4 on an f2.8 lens ends up being the only viable option if you care about image quality.
The other thing that's important is sensor size, because larger sensors means aberrations end up smaller on the final image, hence why FF cameras don't feel the effects of diffraction until f8-f11.
>>4074317Oh, you're that poverty and insecurity riddled anon that gets mad every time someone proves you wrong or has nicer equipment than you. You should probably get out more. Must be weird having this board being the closest thing you have to real friends, yet no-one even knows your name. Literally all you're good for is keeping the discord amused.
