Can anyone help me which one to choose? Portable lightning for outdoor photography. These are second hand items I currently have in store.

>Hensel Porty 6, two EH Pro Mini heads (1200)
>Profoto 6a 2400w Freeze pack
>Elinchrom Ranger RX with two 2 S lamps
>Godox AD300 Pro
>Or Profoto Batpac (+ w/e flash)

Really appreciate any input. Will buy one of these days

It costs ballpark of the others and looks nice. But 300W vs 1200W potential output? I dont mind the huge battery

Nigga just use a reflector like go to the dollar store and drop $3 on a sheet of poster paper and you're g2g for 90% of situations. 95% of situations if you decide to shell out $15 for a proper silver/gold reflector

Yeah. But gf asked what I wanted for my bday and portable lightning is the only gadget I sort of wanted. Going on hikes and snapping quality photos of the senpai with or without lightning. For the pricier versions it would be split with parents/in-laws/me chipping in

Godox, because even if you got every piece of that kit for free, it's the only one with both readily available additions (e.g. you want to get more heads) and/or that do not require mortgaging a kidney for a roided up flashing light.

Thats true. Godox reflector would cost less than $30 and is avaliable everywhere. Hensel is less available and cost three times as much for whatever item

800w through a large softbox is about the minimum to not be limited by your flash.

What's your point? That a 1200w unit that op didn't have in his shortlist is more powerful than an 800w unit?

The only reason people are recommending godox in this thread is because it's the only brand y'all familiar with, as it's the cheap Chinese brand du jour for flashes.

A 50w flash can "overpower the sun" as long as you're close enough.

Honestly, this is just about the shittiest place online to ask questions about high end or professional gear, it's overrun by insecure man children.

And no, every flash does not give the same light, dispersion and gamut tend to be much better on not shitty Chinese tat.
