>>4082464Then you have Willem, the film guy. He's completely quit digital. At first he was refreshing but then film became a crutch for photos of parked cars in LA.
Then there's Ryan, loves Panasonic because he had a great experience with them but shoots Canon because he says "it makes sense" in his situation, whatever that means. Also has an irrational aversion to EVFs. Posts in the same basket weaving forum as Tim but is insanely paranoid. He admires Alice and Nick, and has managed to produce some decent stuff but is too self-aware. He also doesn't have enough spare time to produce anything significant, effectively a nophoto most days of any given year. Wipes EXIF on every photograph he posts online and only posts utter garbage out of fear of dox. Shoots film too sometimes. For all intents and purposes, a has been. A washed up hack.
The other guy, Shannon, shoots a humble a6000. He mostly covers sports with a 400mm zoom. Tim has been trying to convince him to get a full frame Sony but he doesn't see the point of spending more to get the same reach. Often gets his photos published in the local papers, has a knack to get the picture in the right moment. It makes Ryan a bit mad because he can't shut up about EVF blackout and yet Shannon has no problem with it.
Jack, Shannon's best friend also gets featured often. Ryan is jealous of his 4/3 camera and is always schmoozing to get to use it, won't stop raving about that OVF magnification. Also shoots a Bronica 120 sometimes, when he's making photos rather than taking them.
>>4082468I won't "make it", but is it art? I think we could argue about that. I'm definitely creating, so I tend to think it is. Bad art, sure, but art nevertheless. The real art for me is in the trolling embedded in this.
