>>4082731>36MP with PSR aren't going to compete with 45.7MPIt easily can, plus the sensor can shift position via menu making it versatile if wanting to correct small verticals without a perspective shifting lens or be more pronounced if paired with. Also bunch of menu customization that easily surpasses Nikon bodies.
>kinda niche, no?Not really if shooting landscape, architecture or product/studio, which is already half the genres out there. Plus it's not resolution only, it can be used to get near-MF colour information which is handy too.
>Pentax K-mount lenses vs. Nikon F-mountThis is a very valid argument and the reason the full frame digital K-mount never took off that much, it has great native lenses but few options (killing poorfags), low physical availability (killing boomers who want to shop at Best Buy or Target) and high prices (killing eccentric poorfags AND non-first world users who have to save for months to get a 90's era lens) which is a good bunch of legacy Pentax shooters.
>So again, K-1, super cool cameraIt is probably the best FF DSLR, which means body-only, as it certainly isn't the best FF ecosystem due to lack of aftermarket and native lens availability. Even the vintage native lenses are either too expensive (Ricoh 50mm f1.2) or radioactive stuff that often might not pass customs in nanny state countries (Takumars, Rikenons)
>>4083564>a simple mod enables the K-1 to mount not just Nikon F but also, Contax/Yashica, Olympus OM, Konica and Four Thirds It is pretty tough to get due to very low availability, almost no new copies are around and you have to shop used in the Pentax Forums which is okay but certainly a waiting game.
Other than that it is indeed very simple to install but sadly it doesn't reach infinity in one mount, i forget which, and some others like the F mount do not snap into position, they stay loose and focusing becomes a very sensible affair because the lens might fall.
