Over time I have come to the conclusion that 99% of photos would actually improve if you would just remove the person/people.

It depends entirely on the photo. Some photos are a lot more effective with a someone or a silhouette of a person in the space to give it scale, some work better texturally without anyone there, etc.

Clearly untrue since 99% of photos includes portraits, street photography etc that would be incredibly boring nothing photos without people like in your picrel.

I was thinking about this today having taken most of my photos without anyone in it. most of the stuff i take is based on lines or angles, interesting compositions with maybe 1-2 with people in it. i realized this style reflects my own life and worldview, where i go about life just by myself and with very little interaction with others outside of work. this is how i see the world and it is evident in the photography.however the ones with people do make me feel something, something hopeful, that theres something nice about a life with people in it. maybe thats the lesson, i decided that im going to get into taking photos with more people in it. it adds life to photographs as it does to life. sure looking at golden ratio aligned lines and angles is much more satisfying but theres something special about a picture with a human in it. it brings the photo to life

Right side to busy, left side to empty.
The image feels unbalanced, like it's about to tip my monitor to the right.
Feels like I need to lean left to enjoy this image.
Maybe if it was taken at angle with the people being further away it would feel better.
It gives off weird energy, don't feel the vibe.

I honestly find most models off-putting. They have this smug, arrogant, or artificial look. It usually screams of narcissism, on the side of the model, and sort of thirst from the side of the photographer. It often looks like an excuse for soft-porn, looks a bit like "Look, there's all those pretty things around, but really I just wanted to get this chick to pose half-naked."

I have a hard time finding people with ugly personalities beautiful. There is no quicker way, for me, to ruin a pretty face than with some duck lips and heavy makeup. And there is nothing that enhances a plain face as much as a genuine expression.

I don't think people are too bitter or resentful when they express this. There is something much more serene about depicting a place without some ovulating attention whore in the center of it. I think it's part of today's social malady, this unceasing narcissism. For me, these pictures are as offputting as brutalism in architecture. It simply makes me uncomfortable looking at it.

With children, for example, it feels different. They will give you their honest expressions. They haven't learned to pose and be fake, yet. And, even the most mundane scenes feel genuine. Even the most interesting room becomes alive. With those fake models -- everything becomes dead and hostile to genuine expression of life. With them, it's just a thin veneer over lust and thirst. There is the rich exterior, a lot of times, that just seems to want to scream:

I fucking hate photography like that so much. I also love for people to hate my opinion on this. I enjoy upsetting people like that, genuinely, because I detest them. I am tired of pretending to see the good in everything, because we do this all the time nowadays. Some things are just bad. And that, it's bad -- it appeals to all the lowest in us. And no, I will not "agree to disagree". Please hate my opinion so I can see who you are. And if you hate this fake bullshit as much as I do, help me to rid the world of it by exposing it for dirt ugly it is.

Indeed. I have always tried to avoid people in my photos as much as possible. Can't risk 'complications'.
I am just as much of an asocial aspie in my photography, as I am in the rest of my life. The lockdowns were a dream.
Trouble is that I have reached that phase where I did so much local stuff, there's nowhere else to go, so my output has dropped.
