If duplicating prior work yourself takes less time than it took for the first person to ever do it you're a latecomer and imitator taking advantage of the expansion of civilization and advance of technology to make a cheap buck off someone elses idea. Because of this, photography is doomed for the common man. Eventually everything will be either easy to photograph well, or gone forever never to be seen again, except for things that aren't even on this planet. Elonk Muskotron will be taking long exposures on the surface of an asteroid and everyone else will look like these people.
Photography is an art form based on capturing and sharing a vision no one else has seen and will likely never see. The inaccessibility of a scene is what makes it "more art".
