I spent the last few months grasping the scientific nature of light going deep into its scientific properties as it is impacted on a photographic medium. Trying to understand how my camera works. How useful do you think grasping all of these scientific concepts like that of physics or quantum mechanics is on cinematography?

If you're planning to design your lenses then certainly yes, but if your main concern is to shoot photos, I think learning the color theory is much more useful.

I think that if you had spent time with some lights and mannequins and other props for that same equivalent of time instead of reading about muh photos you'd be much better at lighting by now.
The inverse square law of light is good to know, but beyond that it's actually finding the light and using modifiers.

That’s one snapshot, and based on that image I don’t think you’re quite in the “making” stage of photography yet.

Go shoot more. Try to focus on the technical aspects of the photo. It seems like the basics are eluding your grasp.

I don't believe the science of light can help your photography much outside of metering unless you're making DIY sensitive material where you need to know what parts of the spectrum you want sensitivity to. Or I guess if you're using bought film and have no idea of what you're doing, some research helps. But it's not so much about the nature of light. Sure, red light carries less energy per photon than blue light and even less than gamma rays. But the only way you'd benefit from that knowledge is by creating a scene crafted around the film in question. It's also good to know you shouldn't use infrared-sensitive films on cameras that sense the sprockets by means of an IR sensor shining a light through them. EOS 50 is one such case.

I've spent 16 years answering dumb questions on this board. I wrote an entire Photo 101 series of photo instruction for new photographers that ran for 4 months on this board. I've put together infographics, guides, etc. I have no problem helping newbies, and genuinely enjoy it. You're getting trolled, hard, and lashing out at other people because your myopia demands it.

if you're not a troll and geniunely autistic, the only "quantum mechanic" that will matter in photog/cine is diffraction of light, otherwise it's mostly optic science (like focal planes, DoF, etc)

somewhat, since the way light interacts with different surfaces might give differing results that you intend. or, even more simply, not expecting full spectrum color in poorly lit scenes (if the color isn't in the light, its just not going to naturally be in the image).
