>>4112263Never clarified. There's a quarter gear inside that assembly that is poorly designed and gets into the wrong position with impacts or whatever.
I took it apart, moved it to the farthest point it would go (at 1 second shutter speed) and reinstalled it. Worked like a charm.
I've fixed 2 more cameras with the same issue, I think i'm gonna write a lil repair guide for the praktica mtl cameras and variants.
They really are all the same inside.
