>>4113580Your phone has one-shot HDR mode at the cost of a ton of detail and essentially replaces anything under 16mp (including film). Real cameras have a ton of dynamic range but you need to manually edit to get the most out of it without fucking up the fine details like your phone does. if you're really dumb, but want to use a "real" camera, fuji cameras have a built in "fix your shit" mode called DR200 and DR400 that does that editing for you.
If a phone is a commuter car a proper camera is a sportbike. Much more capable, but more work, more personal, single purpose, and you can run into irrecoverable fuckups even with the best ones.
