>>4115346Yes exactly, I guess my point was that the sensor is inherently more noisy and the amplification obviously makes it much worse, to be fair that happens to every sensor but it's especially impactful to Foveons due to the other reasons I mentioned and it sounded like that post was attributing it to mostly software incompatibility, when I think in reality it's a characteristic of the sensor even before editing software trying to interpret the raw.
Here is a worse case scenario. Part of this is due to my lens having ice on it. But you can see how bad the noise can get. Unedited raw, all NR set to minimum, max ISO
