How do I get back into shooting street photography without feeling like I'm taking the same kind of street photos I took when I first started this hobby and was obsessed with taking the exact same kind of photos as my favorite shitty YouTube photographers?
When it comes to other types of photographer I refuse to even lift up my camera to compose a shot unless the scene I'm seeing is practically blowing up at my face begging to be captured. I find it helps me filter out what would otherwise be a shit photo.
But with street photography I'm always seeing a shot that could be worthwhile but end up second guessing myself and moving on because it feels like I'm taking the exact same photo that every other fag with a camera has taken in an attempt to come off as some photographic auteur.
So anyways my point is how do I reach a higher level of street photography? Do I need to get a better understanding of the photographic style or do I just need to accept it for what it is and accept that it's no longer for me?
