What's the point of trying to emulate film like photos and why is the internet crazy about it? Do you really find such grainy, noisy, low-res and unsharp photos pleasing?
Are filmfags just circlejerking to make themselves feel better for spending equivalent of a modern digital camera in like 20 rolls of films ?
There's been decades of technological advance in cameras and then people spend thousands on the best gear and best lenses, pixel peep the fuck out of them in surgical scenarios, then choose the best and sharpest one, take a photo and in post add grain to make it less sharp. Then I see comments like Sony takes soul-less photos, their images are too sharp.
What the fuck and I missing here?
