>>4118460I used only manual for a while, then I learned what ISO was too much for my camera, set that as the upper bound for auto ISO, and shot manual with automatic ISO.
Then after doing that for a while I had a good intuition for aperture and shutter speed and started to use Av or Tv depending on what I wanted to accomplish (as I mostly shoot street).
If I have the time, I always go into manual mode, but if I don't, after having used only manual for a long time, I feel comfortable using Av or Tv.
But you should do that when you have grokked manual fully. Don't start there.
P can be useful in a pinch if you're doing landscapes with a group that's rushing you or smth, but desu, P is often a meme.
Also don't listen to people here that just say only Av or only Tv, or no auto ISO. They just haven't shot manual enough, or are one dimensional in their subject matter.
You shoot in manual until you fully understand why it's not the best option for you.
