Awful posing of the model turning her into a blob is no1 problem.
Absolutely awful background, blurred or not is the second problem.
I also always worry and look out for exposure on any body part on a different plane. (ie those legs are on a diff angle to the light to the face and are fucked here and not getting lit so the lighting is bad too.
Some other factors, that bright green grass is almost always shit looking in photos.
trees are extremely dangerous backgrounds and so often look shit as they are too busy.
shallow depth of field is like 20th factor on the list of what makes a good photo or not. OPs picture is a perfect example of this.
Dont even care about depth of field, learn how to get backgrounds your model pops off and and add some mood to the photo. Learn how to pose a model, learn how to light. Learn how to line the model up with the background.
These things are just so so much more important.
