Yes it's retarded, but it's basically the video equivalent of comparing a sensor size to film; except no one knows what a video tube (pic related) is in 2023.

Correction, even at the time nobody knew the exact sizes of video tubes since all manufacturers used different sizes and two equivalent size tubes would not necessarily fit in each others place.

There is nothing a small sensor does to hurt art photography. Art photography always uses sufficient light and ISO 100 is enough for most serious work. Indoor snapshits with friends and family definitely suffer.

No, right, art photography always uses sufficient light for the exposure the artist wants. It's not auto-ISO snapshitting unless you really think winogrand was an artist (he wasn't). If you are doing auto-ISO snapshitting, go ahead and rely on full frame.

i have an rx0 ii, and i was curious how a literally 1 inch sensour could fit in such small camera, and they sell it like " a 1 inch sensor" , its a good camera, but im a bit disapointed about the misleading advertising
