Is the Canon F1 a good camera at the 200-400 USD price range? I plan to use EF lenses with it, and know fuck all about film, but I love most 35mm photos that I see and want to learn. Which revision is considered the best?

I hope you're trolling because that's way overpriced and it doesn't work with EF lenses.
get an EOS 620 or any EOS with manual modes. You'll need 2CR5 batteries for most of the EOS cameras but it's how you use EF glass. I don't think there's any adapters from EF to FD, you'd need a built-in diaphragm because aperture on EF is electronic.

If you want to use EF lens with it, no. I'm not familiar with current prices and it's a pro camera but $200-400 feels bit steep when consoomer EF film bodies are in $10 range.

This is gonna be hard if not impossible. The distance from the lens to film plane is different between the mounts which will make focusing difficult, if you even can focus mechanically.
If nothing else, you don't have control over the aperture as that is done electronically instead of a with a physical dial.

I had one for 25 bucks sold it for 120.

Its a good camera but you need a light meter or have a really good perception of light

As an amateur its hard to use this camera

Admittedly, I'm a complete newfag, but have an EOS RP and use an EF mount for a few of my lenses, so I had no idea how the systems would work together. What would be a good film body if I'm doing a lot of low light night photography that would let me use the EF lenses that I already own?

They're all pretty much equal, low light performance depends on the film stock used.

I thought the last time I checked, the only models that were particularly expensive are the EOS-1V and the EOS-3

A complete one is like $100 at minimum and you have to order from Japan.
Meanwhile the 620 and 630 are readily available in the US for like $50.
EOS 5 is cool with its eye-AF and sits in the middle of those prices.
EOS 50 also has eye AF but it's a bit of a pain in the ass to use in my experience (very picky with lenses and has a tendency to lock up when using chipless ones).
I'll admit I did mistake the 1 for the 1V though, and I was under the impression they had a battery grip. They're not as impractical as I thought. So I'll have to concede. I'm a bigger fan of the 30V for a similar price but it is less versatile (IR sensor for frame counting meaning you can't use IR film with it).

I shoot on the Minolta MD system. I did have a Minolta AF camera but it kind of broke. I decided if I get another AF camera then I want to go with Canon.

Do you think it'd be a good idea to just get a consumer EOS body right now just to have one on hand?
